We all love to follow celebrities in the news, on the radio, through their shows, etc., but some of us take it a step beyond and go right to Twitter. While the pages are flooded for some of the more well known actors and actresses out there, it’s about time we take a look at some people that you are bound to see in movies and TV in the future. Here is a list of ten up and coming actors that you can follow on Twitter.

@ashleytisdale: Ashley Tisdale is certainly no new face to TV anymore after her brush with stardom from the Disney hits trilogy High School Musical. With that in mind, this budding singer/actress is starting to step out of the Disney shadow to work on her own. Some people might recognize her from a recent cameo in the music video for Love Drunk by Boys Like Girls, but her work as a whole is movie to a more adult level.

@ddlovato: Demi Lovato is another Disney channel star who is starting to make a name for herself. She began work as a singer/actress in the movie Camp Rock and has since earned her own show, Sonny with a Chance. While she may still be in the Disney limelight, her singing career is allowing her to establish a name for herself on her own. The speed with which she gained popularity is only a sign of what is in store.

@jhutch1992: Josh Hutcherson is a young actor that is starting to grow in popularity. He first hit the scene in movies like Little Manhattan and Zuthura, but what has really boosted his name lately has been his roles in Bridge to Terabithia and Journey to the Center of the Earth. Born in 1992, this youngster has a little ways to go before he plays with the big dogs, but rest assured that he will be there.

@taylorswift13: Taylor Swift? What? She’s a singer not an actress! OR at least, that’s what you think. Indeed, everyone’s favorite young country star is actually beginning to take claim over Hollywood as well. Millions have seen her funny appearance on SNL, but Taylor is now taking it to the next level. She made a brief feature on CSI and Hannah Montana the Movie, and there are many rumors floating around about actual roles she will be playing in 2010.

@lautnerDTAylor: Taylor Lautner is a hottie. That seems to be the general consensus among his millions of adoring fans. He’s known for his role as Jacob Black in the popular series Twilight, and his Twitter account is a recent additive to his life. Though he doesn’t have much acting under his belt beyond the Twilight scene, he is expected to be quite a force in the coming years.

@selenagomez: Selena Gomez is another teen that Disney has launched into stardom. You can find old clips of her back in her Barney days, but this singer/actress has really developed a name for herself now. She is very interactive with her fans, and she has her own show, Wizards of Waverly Place, right on Disney. Her acting is taking on a noticeably more mature tone, and it’s only a few years until this teen takes Hollywood for all that it is worth.

@blakeclively: Blake Lively is a beautiful actress famous for her roles in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and Gossip Girl. Blake has a way of captivating audiences with her mature and yet ultra sexy way of acting. She is set to show up in the movie The Town, which will be released in late 2010. For now, fans must tune in to see what’s next with this Gossip Girl right on her show.

@annaKendrick47: Anna Kendrick is another member of the Twilight Saga, and that has been her recent claim to fame. However, you can also find her in Up in the Air, Camp, and Rocket Science. She has been nominated for a Golden Globe, as well as a Tony Award. She was recently named one of Vanity Fair’s 2010 Openers, so who knows what is in store for this girl.

@hitRECordJoe: Joseph Gordon-Levitt is not new to acting in the slightest. He’s just never been quite as popular as he is now. Some may remember him back in his Angels in the Outfield days, but other people probably know him as one of the alien/humans from Third Rock from the Sun. More recently though he was featured aside Zooey Dechannel in the movie 500 Days of Summer. This is the launch of the new Joe.

@Oliviawilde: Olivia Wilde is nothing short of sexy. Most people know her as Thirteen in the popular Fox show Dr. House. She’s also been on The O.C., and she is set to debut in Tron Legacy for 2010. This beautiful twenty something is nothing short of a force to be seen as she starts wooing men and women world wide.

Social networks have taken a big role in the way we stay connected nowadays, and there’s nothing that says the medical field can’t be involved too. Doctors now use sites like Twitter to connect with one another and discuss current events in medicinal world. If you are looking to become a doctor or even if you just find the field fascinating, you might enjoy following some of the doctors on Twitter. You can join medical groups on the site or just listen to what the “docs” have to say. It’s totally up to you. Here is a list of some of the doctors you might want to take a look at:

@KevinMD: Kevin Pho M.D. has a primary care practice in Nashua, NM. He has over 19k Twitters. D.r Pho also runs one of the most successful physician blogs on the web. He’s been on cited WSJ.com, NYT, Forbes, NPR, and more! Wow!
@Doctor_V: Doctor Vartabedian is a pediatric doctor specializing in gastroenterology practicing at Texas Children’s Hospital. He has has little over 2000 followers on Twitter listening in.
@doctoranonymous: Doctor Anonymous is a Family Physician who also hosts an internet radio show. Located in Ohio, this doctor works on blogs and frequently makes posts to his Twitter account that relate to other doctors and events in the field.

Twitter has hit the scene so hard in recent years, and a bunch of different groups have formed because of that. #RNChat is a great place to find a lot of nurses to talk to, but there are countless groups on Twitter that are beneficial for the nursing community. As people use their 140 characters to talk about their day, many nurses discuss medical issues and unique solutions that they’ve discovered in their career.
