Mission Statement
Mission.In partnership with the church, Hawai i Theological Seminary exists to glorify God byequipping Christians for leadership in service to church and society through Christianspiritual formation, higher education, and guided experience. It shall do this byadvancing theological higher education that fosters:1. Truth in understanding and practice;2. Ethics of the highest level in Christian ministry and life;3. Dignity for each Christian as divinely gifted to bless church & society;4. Service as a divine calling for each Christian; and5. Unity among Christians as an emphatic element of Gods will.We of Hawaii Seminary desire that our students, through all of their learningexperiences and contacts, will develop an increasing awareness of their role as membersof the body of Christ, the Church universal. We want them to work effectively andefficiently with others by finely-tuning and contributing their unique, God-given talentstoward the goal of being the image of Christ on earth.At Hawaii Seminary, students can live and serve the Lord in a multicultural setting whilethey pursue their education. We seek to serve students in many ways:1) by providing a biblical and professional education that will equip men and women forChristian ministry,2) by serving as a biblical and theological resource center for the equipping of Christianlaypeople,3) by preparing men and women for further professional studies, and4) by providing continuing education for pastors, missionaries and other Christianworkers. Our well-qualified faculty represents a broad spectrum of churches andparachurch organizations. Our students have distinguished themselves in otherinstitutions of higher learning and in ministry positions in Hawaii and around the world.
