Mission Statement
The mission of the Agency, the State Board for Community and Junior Colleges, is to provide statewide coordination for the public community and junior colleges and to carry out other legislatively assigned responsibilities by establishing policies and standards, conducting studies and assembling reports.The mission is also to provide the leadership and initiative to1. enhance quality education and training of all constituents;2. create and promote partnerships with business, industry and other entities, including public schools, universities and other educational institutions;3. develop strategies designed to enhance success for all constituents; and to4. promote comprehensive planning, adequate resources and establishing essential relationships to position our citizenry to be competitive in a highly technical and global environment.
