Careers in the Arts:
Careers in the Arts can include the traditional fields for artists as sign painters,
sculptors, movie industry scale-model makers or backdrop professionals, and the
other professions that we normally associate with things that artists do. Or, artists
today can pursue exciting careers in online or offline formats that incorporate
computerized programs and other forms of technology. Artists participate in animations,
illustrations, product packaging, advertising agencies, computer aided art restorations,
and so many more things today.
Careers in Design:
Design careers are often coupled with a talent in an art or craftsmen area somewhere
so that these unique individuals can help to bring ideas to life as individual stand-alone
articles or for the purpose of mass production. Some may work to produce one tiny
part of a space shuttle, while others may work to produce a pattern or prototype
of the next fad-style of diaper bags. Video games, Web design, interest-area product
designs, and entertainment designs for stages, video productions, photography, and
more.
How to have a career in the Art or Design industry:
This year, we are miles away from the good ol’ days when all you had to do for employment
was to submit an application and promise to work hard. Job competition exists across-the-board
for all job openings in America. When employers are forced to choose between untrained
labor, and those holding current industry training or a degree, it is obvious who
they will choose to spend their money on. The quickest road to a career in Art or
Design today is done through entering a trade school or college for credentials.
