Career choices in the health care industry in California are numerous, and shortages exist in many areas of industry employment. People choosing to enter the health care industry in California will notice that their caseloads are higher than seen in other parts of the country, and that many of the current workers are from other places on the globe.
California has a problem with cutbacks resulting in more chores for all workers involved, and this addition of added responsibilities becomes an additional stress-level that is causing new health care industry workers to quit at a high-rate during their first year on the job. In some parts of California, new workers must be bilingual so that this causes an extra strain on finding qualified job applicants to fill all of the available openings.
The State of California is currently working on new standards that should reduce the current cutback related stress-loads to some degree. With this being a state that is known for its diversity, a career in health care is not for everybody, but perfect for those who enjoy a challenging fast-paced working environment.
California is expecting about 40% increased need for trained health care workers, in all areas, over the next few years. This increase figure is not addressing the current level of shortages, only the additional need over the current shortage situation. With local and federal governments aware of the growth in health care services that will be needed in the future, industry jobs in California should start seeing perks and benefits offered that are not being seen today in order to entice more people into working in these careers.
