You cannot be someone who is content to let people break the law, and you need to be assertive when it comes to dealing with the people who do break the law. When you are a police officer, you are someone who is going to be righteous, and work for the good of the people. Also, you need to be sure that you are wiling to risk your life for others, because often police officers need to do this in order to provide the best safety and security for everyone else.

There are lots of different types of police officer careers out there, and the police officer salary is going to fluctuate, depending on what type of cop you are. You might be a police officer that is a detective, one that works on solving crimes and then finding the people who committed them. Or, you might be a beat cop, patrolling the streets and finding criminals, and keeping everyone else safe. You might also be a cop that works in an office, or a security guard, who makes sure that certain areas are patrolled and safe. Therefore, if you are looking at a law enforcement career, you are going to have several different things to look at because there are going to be lots of different variations of the careers that you might be doing. It is also important to think about the training that goes along with a police officer career.
