Hawaii LPN-to-BSN Programs Overview

The difference between an LPN and a nurse with a BSN is four years of education. A nurse that has a degree in Nursing Science will make much more than an LPN, and will have more room for career advancement. The reasoning is simple, an LPN only requires a high school diploma, while a nurse with a BSN has a bachelor's degree. In Hawaii, licensed nurses are in high demand. This results in a higher salary for both LPNs and nurses with a BSN. LPNs in Hawaii can expect to make between $41,300 and $49,700 in their first year. A nurse with a BSN can expect to make between $65,600 and $80,000 in their first year.
