Minnesota Healthcare Overview

Many believe that Minnesota is in line for a healthcare crisis. In simple words, they need healthcare professionals trained in medical, dental, mental health, and in all other segments of the healthcare industry. Many jobs are available today, and many more will be available in the future unless something unexpected happens to correct the healthcare industry shortage problems that are being seen in this state.

Minnesota is caught in a circular problem that does not seem to have a solution readily available. Their healthcare industry is shorthanded, and their retirement community (the age that needs more healthcare services) is growing at a rapid rate. Minnesota has a growing healthcare need without a way to train enough people to fill all industry openings.

For people who are trained in healthcare fields that choose a career in Minnesota, there are jobs available to choose from, very nice benefit packages and incentives being offered by desperate employers, guaranteed job security within the industry, and rumors of future perks yet to come as this state continues to try to staff all areas in need of qualified healthcare professionals.

The Minnesota healthcare shortage problems will not be fixed any time soon unless something unexpected happens to completely rearrange how the industry is operating. As the situation stands today, Minnesota is claiming that they will have about 10,000 healthcare industry opening for just nurses by the year 2015, and this figure does not include all other shortage area positions that will need filling. The future outlook for a career within the Minnesota healthcare industry is very promising.
