Joint MSN/MBA

Registered nurses with the desire to further their education and hone their business skills may want to consider a joint MSN/MBA program, which will increase their earning potential and broaden the employment opportunities available to them. Completing a joint degree program that confers both a Master of Science in Nursing and a Master of Business Administration degree will lead to opportunities to move into mid- and upper-level management and administration roles in the nursing and health care fields.

Joint MSN/MBA graduates have a balanced knowledge of advanced nursing skills and business administration skills, which come together to make these nurses effective leaders, managers and decision makers in their field.

Each joint MSN/MBA program will have specific requirements for entry. These requirements generally include licensure as a registered nurse, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a minimum period of clinical experience, a minimum GPA (grade point average) and, oftentimes, Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) scores.
