Joint MSN/MSHA

Joint MSN/MSHA degree programs allow nurses to further their education and their career by obtaining a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and a Master of Science in Health Administration (MSHA) through the same course of study. This unique degree combination provides for a broad education including both graduate-level nursing and graduate-level health administration skills and knowledge.

With a joint MSN/MSHA, current nurses can propel their career forward and increase their earning potential by advancing their nursing science education and positioning themselves to move into executive leadership roles in health care programs and organizations. Registered nurses who complete a joint MSN/MSHA program will have employment opportunities in a broad range of health-related fields including health insurance companies, hospitals, long term care facilities and private medical practices.

Each joint MSN/MSHA program will have a specific set of requirements, which applicants must meet prior to entry. In general, these requirements include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, a current registered nursing license, clinical experience, a minimum GPA (grade point average) and, possibly, graduate-level entrance examination scores.
