An overview of the effects of medications (Prescription, OTC, & Controlled Substances) will be studied in an introductory course of Pharmacology. A study of pain origin and management, and technique modifications to minimize pain perception will be offered as a part of this course.' The course provides an understanding of the up to date research methodology, their values, draw backs and effects in shaping concepts and techniques used in different modalities of massage therapy.
