The Advanced Studies in Secondary Education is a high quality Master's degree secondary education program that correlates with the five core propositions of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS). Graduates of the Masters of Secondary Education degree will have a deeper understanding of instructional strategies, action research, instructional technology, differentiated instruction, classroom management, assessment strategies, teacher leadership, curriculum design, and reflective practices. At the completion of this program, graduates will have a 'jump start' if they decide to apply for National Board teaching certification.
