This'post-master's certificate'program focuses on the role of psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner as a specialty area. A biopsychosocial model is used to examine issues relevant in adult mental health and illness. The program prepares students to provide comprehensive psychiatric mental health care to those who are at risk for mental illness, as well as those who are in need of psychiatric services.
