Eastern Kentucky University has developed a Fire & Emergency Services certificate to provide you with the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of fire safety/protection and to enhance your overall skills in this field. The certificate can be completed independently of the degree program however, should you decide you would like to continue with the program after completing the certificate, the credits you earn can be transferred over and applied to the Master's degree program. Fire & Safety faculty members are recognized nationally and internationally for their teaching, research, and dedication to the fire and safety fields. They are active in numerous professional fire organizations such as the National Association of Fire Investigators, National Fire Protection Association, International Association of Fire Chiefs, and the International Society of Fire Service Instructors. As a student in this program, you will have the opportunity to learn from some of the very best in this field.
