The need for educated and experienced professionals in occupational safety continues to rise as do the job opportunities available to such professionals. Eastern Kentucky University recognized this need and has developed an Occupational Safety concentration within the Master of Science in Safety, Security & Emergency Management degree program.The Occupational Safety Concentration is designed to:Provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in a high-level safety position.Educate students on the personal and environmental risks within the workplace; how to assess, analyze and develop safety, emergency management, security and environmental compliance programs; and how to investigate, manage, and prevent hazards/threats in the workplace.Prepare graduates for employment in a variety of executive-level safety positions.
