Fielding Graduate University's School of Human & Organization Development's interdisciplinary doctoral studies are based on a scholar-practitioner model.HOD encourages adult learners to bring work and community challenges to their study, and promotes student/faculty interaction through mentoring and dialogue in a variety of face to-face and virtual settings. Our students have the rare opportunity to create a custom curriculum and learning road map that fits their professional needs and research interests.
The Human Development doctoral degree emphasizes adult development in the context of personal, organizational, and cultural settings. Faculty and students have particular interests in coaching and mentoring, ethical leadership, creative longevity, and wisdom studies. The doctoral curriculum draws from a range of disciplines and fields including human development, organizational studies, systems theories, personality and learning theory, social psychology, management and leadership, structural inequality and diversity, global studies, and more.
