Fielding Graduate University's Media Psychology doctoral degree, the first of its kind in a School of Psychology, is a non-clinical degree that develops scholar-practitioners with a high level of understanding of the relationships between media and behavior.The doctoral program will benefit executives in journalism, entertainment, publishing, software development, business and telecommunications, as well as leaders in government, public policy and education.

The format of the doctoral program allows for intensive, face-to-face contact at the orientation and planning session, research sessions and national sessions. Online forums, teleconferencing and electronic library services deepen the interactions between students and faculty and provide convenient access through a distributed education learning model. Core curriculum includes: Critical Thinking, Research Design and Methodology, Statistics, Media Psychology, Media Studies, Media Ethics, Research Practicum, and Comprehensive Assessment. This program requires 81 credits to complete.
