The TESL / TEFL Certificate is widely recognized as the first level of qualification in teaching English as a second / foreign language. Graduates are eligible to teach in a variety of settings, including language schools in the U.S. and other countries. However, licensure as a teacher is required to teach ESL in public schools in Indiana (and elsewhere in the United States).
