The Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Arts and Letters provides students from many walks of life with a traditional liberal arts degree. The emphasis in Arts and Letters includes courses in the study of moral, aesthetic, ethical, religious and socio-economic values. Students will learn to assess the relevance, validity and consequences of those values in current contexts. The critical and analytic skills students must learn to understand and discuss major cultural movements are those necessary to the clear thinking and responsible decision-making required in many professional careers and post-baccalaureate degrees. An emphasis on faculty-governed student autonomy and individualized learning allows students to tailor this program to their long term interests.Choose either the Applied Interdisciplinary Humanities Track or the Interdisciplinary Humanities Track. The Applied track has a strong communication component combined with the humanities curriculum.
