The U.S. Department of Labor anticipates a 24% increase in corrections by 2012 nationwide. Since the events of 9/11, the need for qualified, trained criminal justice professionals has risen dramatically. Criminal justice professionals provide many services for the community, including homeland security, protecting property, assisting in investigations, and keeping order in jails and prisons. Rasmussen College offers an Associate of Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice. Graduates of this program will acquire a variety of skills that are critical for careers in these fields.
