While the Teacher Education Programs division in the School for Professional Studies offers a variety of programs leading to teacher licensure at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, the Master of Education (i.e., the self-designed track) Degree Program is unique in that it is specifically designed to provide adult students with a graduate degree that combines the perspectives of adult learning theory, self-designed elective coursework based on learning contracts, a focus on the K-12 educational spectrum of issues, and the guided independent study (GIS) delivery model.
