To earn the certificate, all three courses must be completed with grades of C or higher, and students must complete the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management's certificate examination. The required courses provide an overview of the meetings and convention industry; incorporate specific meeting planning skills, techniques, and applications as they apply to the Convention Industry Council's Certified Meeting Professional Program; and offer the opportunity to explore in-depth issues and trends in the meetings industry.
