Painting students in the Master of Arts degree program develop their work through informed, individual instruction and a curriculum that promotes exploration based on practical knowledge and awareness of historical and contemporary factors.The painting faculty and student body come from a myriad of international backgrounds. All contemporary and traditional methods of image making and performance and installation work are accepted in the department. Course offerings range from mixed media, minimal art, conceptual art and narrative painting to landscape, portrait and still life painting.
