The Master of Science in Management (MSM) degree serves employed adults with 3 to 5 years professional experience in management. Designed in partnership with major corporations, the MSM degree program integrates the theory and practice of management. Students may specialize by choosing a Professional Focus Area in Organizational Leadership, Human Resources Management, Public Service Leadership, Online Learning and Teaching, or Public Sector Auditing. In addition, students may choose additional areas of professional focus by studying with select affiliate partners that have educational programs reviewed and recommended for graduate credit by the American Council on Education (ACE). These 'Programs Through Partners' focus areas include: Insurance, Management of Substance Abuse Programs, Preschool Education, Early Childhood Education and Project Management. Students who choose the Organizational Leadership Professional Focus Area are required to attend the two weekend residencies, one at the beginning of the program and one after the fifth semester. Students who participate in the residencies recommend them highly as a strong point for the program. The 36-credit program is typically completed within 22 months.
