The Master of Science in Health Sciences with a specialization in Emergency and Disaster Management prepares students to provide leadership in major emergencies and disasters including terrorism. This specialization provides individuals planning to hold leadership position as emergency professionals in government and industry with the skills to respond effectively when emergencies and disasters strike, and provide leadership in those situations. Students will learn to analyze disaster threats, write emergency plans to meet state and federal guidelines, understand problems facing response teams, and communicate knowledgeably with expert advisors in crisis
