The Department of Sociology and Continuing & Professional Education at UMass Amherst offer the Criminal Justice Studies Certificate (CJSC) to online students worldwide. The program is designed to provide students knowledge in the area of American criminal justice and is intended to attract women and men planning or in the midst of careers ranging from law enforcement to probation, the courts, or corrections. The program focuses on criminal behavior by citizens, government officials, and corporations.Students are required to take a total of 6 courses (3 credits each), including Criminology and Sociology of Law and four upper level criminal justice courses.
