Online Degrees - University of Delaware

The University of Delaware's RN Refresher course is designed to upgrade basic competence of registered nurses who have not been in active practice, who wish to reinstate their license and return to a clinical setting. The course is comprised of 84 hours of nursing theory and related activities, including exams. All coursework takes place using Internet and CD-ROM technology. Participants view lectures on the Internet or on CD-ROM, complete exams and assignments, and communicate with faculty and classmates using the course Web site and e-mail. Successful completion of this course also requires 80 hours of supervised clinical practice, to take place in a clinical setting in the participant's state of licensure. Participants locate a clinical setting in which to complete their practice hours, subject to approval by the University of Delaware coordinator.
