The Teacher Leadership for School Improvement (TLSI) degree program engages teachers in the action of instructional and school improvements as teachers learn new strategies, implement them in their classroom with guided assistance, collect evidence of student learning, and then reflect on and adjust their teaching practices. The TLSI program is designed to be practical while helping you develop new knowledge and skills. Courses model excellence in online pedagogy and feature interactions with some of UF's highly-respected faculty. The TLSI program has been carefully designed to meet the needs of elementary, middle school, and secondary teachers. The conceptual framework for this innovative and exciting online degree is to empower reflective professionals to construct and use knowledge through ongoing, collaborative inquiry in order to serve diverse students, strengthen student learning, promote democratic values, and engage in school improvement.
