Online Bachelor Degree in Leadership

A bachelor degree in leadership or sometimes called organizational management is a business career that has seen a sharp upswing in demand in recent years. The focus of the graduate with a bachelor degree in leadership is generally in taking a group of people or even a company and making a team, determining a direction and then leading them to the goal. This degree combines business acumen and motivational skill to give a group or a company a goal and then enable them to reach that goal.

Online Leadership Bachelor Degree

An online leadership bachelor degree is most often considered a 4 year degree though that number can be shortened or lengthened according to the student. The beauty of online or distance learning is that a person can still be employed and yet attend classes at their convenience. Business degrees lend themselves especially well to distance learning.
The online leadership bachelor degree program requires from 120 to150 semester credit hours to complete. The usual program consists of the following;

  • Liberal arts and general education requirements, usually English literature, English composition, math and history.
  • Electives which can be any topic that interests the student. Many take electives in their discipline to help them to specialize.
  • Core leadership and business courses that are required for graduation and provide the basis and the advanced theories in leadership.

The liberal arts requirements are to give the student a well rounded education and the electives can be in any field they choose including underwater basketweaving.
