Online Writing Certificate - an online Writing Certificate program is designed for busy professionals who may not have the time to return to school full time but want to boost their writing skills and make themselves more attractive to employers.  Usually online Writing Certificate programs take a short time to complete and can be done completely online.

Online Writing Associates Degree - People who still work full time or don't want to commit to a lengthy degree course can study for an online Writing Associates Degree.  An online Writing Associates Degree takes roughly one to two years to complete depending on the courses taken.  Students who have an online Writing Associates Degree can enter the job market as writers immediately or use the Writing Associates Degree as a stepping stone to a Bachelors Degree

Online Writing Bachelors Degree- Serious students of writing who want to be creative writers and write novels, TV shows, screenplays, plays, and other dramatic works can get an online Writing Bachelors Degree that will let them hone their craft on their own time.

The starting salaries for writers vary widely depending on what type of writing is being done. Entry level copywriters and ad writers can expect a starting salary of $30,000 or more depending on geographic location. Mechanical and technical writers can expect a starting salary of around $45,00 depending on location. Creative writers usually get paid per piece as they sell their creative work and can make anywhere from $20,000 per year to $100,000 per year.
